Advice Centre

Bettws now has its own Advice Centre. The Centre is based at Koinonia, 1, Tone Close, and will be open on Wednesdays and Thursdays of each week. The Advice can range from general information to more in depth help when required.

The Advice Centre does not just give advice, it will also help you fill in those forms you hate.

Our new advice worker will be David Collingbourne, whom some of you will have met before when he was the Advice Worker for the GAVO Newport Resource Centre when it was based at Pill, and for the year when he was based at the Newport Provisions Market. David is a very experienced advice worker: he started as a volunteer at the Newport CAB, and was trained and qualified as an advice worker through the NACAB training system in April 1993.

In September 1993 he joined the Newport Resource Centre as an advice worker. During his time there the Newport Resource Centre became part of GAVO. David worked there until his 65th birthday when he was required to retire.

After three months of retirement, David has returned to advice work and we are pleased to have such an experienced worker working with us.
