After 2000 years maybe we should take notice of what Jesus said: "By this all will know that you are my disciples - if you have love for each other."

A lot later on Teilhard de Chardin (1881 - 1955) hoped: "Someday, after mastering the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity, we shall harness for God the energies of love, and then, for the second time in the history of the world, man will discover fire."

Dare we hope for the 21st Century? We can certainly pray.....
